I FELL IN LOVE with the idea of the work done by WELFARE WARRIORS. A GREAT CAUSE of ENDEMIC POVERTY AND HUNGER which this group FIGHTS in the courts of JUSTICE. The GOV itself creates a LOCK OUT for poor people in what's supposedly courts of justice. I WROTE THESE SAINTS UP in PARENTS, MAKE YOUR KIDS BECOME PRO BONO LAYWERS ARTICLE. I sent it to their founder at WELFARE WARRIORS. I asked where is your website? (I'd read about their work elsewhere.)
SHE responded, 'thank you' and told me group was AN ONLINE MAGAZINE: HUH? How did I miss that fact? JUICY BIG ARTICLES ON NASTY GOV??? WHOPEEE! So I went straight to WELFARE WARRIORS and there was NO ARCHIVE OF monthly EDITIONS/ MAGAZINE ARTICLES on FIRST PAGE. Lot of pictures of unknown people.
That has no effect on the websurfer who arrives, it's like seeing someone's family photos . I saw no banners that you'd click on to go to an article alleging miserly CIVIC GREED, "legal pretenders" given to the poor for defense, JAIL ROOM TORTURE, CHILD REMOVAL by Child Protective Services or the city's REFUSAL TO AID SUFFERING, POOR, starving, homeless, SINGLE MOTHERS and their babies with social workers during the trial and jailing, only after sentence is pronounced. And USURIOUS HUGE FINES for most minimal infractions. One woman I saw in court missed one payment out of a thousand bucks, they fined her another thousand and threatened jaill if she didn't pay it> Woman had miscarriage right there in the court! Her orig infraction was grabbing her kitten from a cat thief!
I was shocked at the TERRIBLE WEBSITE DESIGN that defeated my finding or even seeking those magazine articles online. I AM LIKE A happy DRUNK when I find a website with good PROGRESSIVE CRITICISM articles, with a TIDY CLICKABLE LIVE LINK "OVER" each... HER ARTICLES were supposed to exist & be full of URBAN HORRORS, URBAN DOCTOR NO's... ULTIMATE VILLAINY.. I wanted to wade in and soak it up... well her site had HUGE ADS .......could NOT FIND THE ARTICLES SHE SAID WERE IN HER MAGAZINE. JUST HER OWN "GIVE US MONEY" ADS. BLOCKING THE WAY, not even PAID ADS which I could understand. Drink Coke, at a legal horrors page. If it pays drink the stuff.
I WROTE FOUNDER, PATRICIA: A very small critique on lacks in her WEBDESIGN --- "DEAR PATRICIA: SO MANY "PLEASE SUBSCRIBE ADS" MOST READERS would go away unable to SEE ALL THE MENUS, hunt each down, locate, then read your articles! You hid them so well! FOR A LONG TIME I TRIED TO FIND AN ARTICLE. TOO HARD TO HUNT ONE DOWN. Everywhere on every single page, ads for subscribe. 15$ (THOSE BELONG AT VERY END OF AN ARTICLE. PERIOD!)
BAD PSYCHOLOGY to put them everywhere before one can even FIND an article JUST GETS SURFERS MAD! THEY LEAVE IN DROVES
