Did you see news story on the murder of that rich family, the Billings, in the news? Lived in a huge, conspicuous mansion, pool, fenced.
They were A REAL TARGET to anyone who passed by who  knew how to climb a fence.

Now, karmically, they didn't deserve this. They were do-gooders, had twelve handicapped foster children. So having impeccable, good Karma is no protection from the Angel of Murder. A handful of murdering oakies killed them. Probably no money in the house, just stacks of toys, but a very pretty home. Why I mention it is, tuff times make for tuff people. We cannot know what's coming. SO here's where I"m going with this.

Argentina recently went thru a decade of RECESSION bigger than ever known, famine, crime wave all in late 90's peaking in 2001. Banks closed with citizens' savings, jobless, people homeless overnight. Murder in the streets, and there are no ethnics there with angry feelings, of being disenfranchised. They are all Spanish, Italian descent there yet they were killing one another, everyone had to pack heat. A man who 'lived through it' but barely -- writes of his experiences.

Do you foresee any of this could happen here? And if it does, in the coming depression, isn't it better to just NOT HAVE THE MANSION AND POOL? Just a shabby old cottage with a RINGER SURVEILILANCE thingie on the gate of the property and INSIDE, NEAR YOU, a gun?

Sean Taylor a major football star got killed by a burglar, as he had a machete not  a gun. I am guessing that he thought: 
I'm Bigger than God. I don't need no damn GUN!

1.) THE DEAD FOOTBALL STAR had been robbed a week before by a burglar in his home.......You'd think he'd have run out to buy a pistol. He had no babies on the property, just the gal pal. She wouldn't have ever shot HIM! But ---

2.) Seven days later, he still had no gun. Just a machete by the bed. Guess he felt secure as he's 6 and a half feet tall. You know what position he played? SAFETY! The thing he really wasn't into AT ALL!

3.) Burglar comes back & blows him away with a single shot to THIGH. An Odd burgular as the SUV had a dozen bullet holes in it so the guy was shooting wild. Sean only had one. And not a deliberate kill shot, though the rupture of femoral artery in leg is always fatal. A haphazard shot or one meant to stop him, not kill him.

4.) Celebs are usually way more paranoid at least in the years since LENNON was shot. What's with Sean the SAFETY?

5.) So what do I get out of all this? The BEST Christmas gift you can give the homeowner is going to be a 22 or a 38 or a 45 or a state of the art home security unit, one or the other.
