This is an invasion of privacy --NOT tracking criminals...It is to find unlicensed drivers, no registration, no tags, no insurance. IN OTHER WORDS, the POOR. Sure, if it's a stolen car, they can see it's on a list, but mostly it's POOR PEOPLE going to and from work or the market to feed the babies.

SCARY, HUH? Well, it doesn't scare me much anymore since LAPD took away my car, for the sin of driving with no new tags on my plate, (costing 100$ a year for a 1983 Honda civic with no window glass, and my social security pension is 340$ a month. Rent is 1200$. Soon to go up to $1540. So I quit driving. I no longer can go to the market which is one and 1/4 miles from here and I'm heading for 80 yrs and should NOT use my bicycle as I WEAVE badly. Don't own a helmet, have brittle bones. Two holes in aorta and sistolic, Biking a block makes me out of breath, not to mention bones.

So I do not have to be concerned about driving but you do. For instance: Seen on this morning's news. Depending on the department the data base of all licenses and vehicle descriptions scanned is kept from 30-days to indefinitely.

I have been stopped and accused of things I did not do by rookie cops. All of them are prone to error and misuse of technology which makes them deadly. They need procedure reform more than they need new toys. But we do want them to catch the 'bad guys'...a quandary. But one thing I do fully advise ......

IF YOU DO NOT NEED TO DRIVE, STOP. I would not be asking you to do something I haven't done - I trade an astrology reading  a week to a kind 'psychic junkie' and get my one ride to the market. 1 /14 miles trip though we also go to a 2nd another mile away as they have Exotic ethnic food and a lot of produce/ chicken meat bargains. Need chicken as I cook it for my cats, but that's another webpage. ( THE PET INDEX.) and THE FRUGAL HOUSEHOLDER WEBSITE   Of course I cannot go to POST OFFICE, 99c store, HOME DEPOT and worst of all that monthly HALF OFF sale at nearby THRIFT STORE so my life lacks enrichment. PS. There was rumored to be a SPRAY with which you block those COP readers with --  but REVIEWS ARE ALL OVER NET, DOES NOT WORK! So if you're in a parking lot.......and the guy is scanning 3,000 cars,  park butt in. They aren't going to get out of the unit and hand type in your plate # in the hot sun. But they might. So trade a reading for a ride and keep your car parked in the driveway, butt to the wall!
