JUNE 15, 2006 - Today, the SUPREMES passed the NO MORE COP KNOCK & ANNOUNCE requirement! (Hudson V.Michigan, w. Scalia passing it.) Cops no longer have to wait at the door of suspect.  They can BUST RIGHT IN! GO in thru a window, go down the chimney!OR BLOW THE HOUSE DOWN!

No more constitutional sanctity of hands-off your home is demanded  of /for or by Cops. SUPREME (*#$)@! COURT says they can knock, announce and then come right in. THAT LAW isn't an hour old and LAPD already knew about it! TODAY I  wake up, crack a bleary eye and think that I hear voices in my living  room. Impossible as front door was locked, right?

WELL, BACK GARDEN GATE was not locked and it's how they got into back yard, then into kitchen door, left open for cats. That's how the pigs got in my living room. I don't doubt that a  minute later, they'd have been going through the bedrooms where I lay sacked out.

It's NOON straight up, temps above l00 and I'm sleeping nekkid and I hear voices in my living room! EYES WIDE I tear off my sleep mask, grab a bath towel and step out into hallway and the voices are clearer....and I peek around hall door; there are two cops in my living room!!!!

No uniforms, they're in suits being detectives. But you can tell a policeman from just two strangers who might have 'broke and entered' at high noon. That 'right to be there aura. "WHO the heck ARE YOU?" I stammer.

"L.A.P.D. ma'am."

"How can you just break in?"
"We looked through the screen door, saw all those pillows, they looked like a body, ' he prevaricated imaginatively looking at me for some smiling approval.

" Aha. Well, I build up the sofa with pillows and throw a sheet on it for the cats. It's easy to see how it looks like a dead body in my living room.

He --(porcine, blondish) was in a summer suit Irish name, and the partner, an obvious dyke (25 yrs on  the force,) in charcoal blue jeans and summer weight blazer. Me in bath towel.

I'd only had five hours sleep so I wasn't the sharpest cudgel in the box. WHO WHAT? HOW IN THE ......? I must have blurted.

They get right to it. Do you know this man? they ask? Color laser printer snap of my darling, elegant, kind, best son. DUI they say. Second. Automatically a felony.

No --that car accident in February? He wasn't drinking. He spun out. Legit.

"He was drunk" they say.

If so, why didn't you grab him then?

Because he was hospitalized immediately.

The dyke is sticking her nose in hallway to bedrooms.

"Feel free to check all the bedrooms" I say, "closets too, no men's clothing here.

We just want to get him to court Porky sez. Where does he live?

l00 miles east, don't know addie, here's his phone number. The cop snatches the paper. I then show them the front door that they never came in through.

Didn't even have coffee, temps 108, just watered front yard and back
yard for a leisurely contemplative but extremely fragile and PAINED hour.

But the temperature in this new GLOBAL STEW HELL we are inhabiting is ...HELLISH.
I'm not too verbal or descriptive on 5 hrs sleep. I'm muttering "GERMAN! NAZIS" It's a
THIRD REICH kind of temperature! Heil Bush. Seig Heil Bush Hell.

I told an activist friend, maybe looking for sympathy. he said:
"When NAFTA was in Congress, I told people to call their Senators and demand
it not be passed. No one did and NAFTA passed.

it not be passed. No one did and GATT passed. And all the factories moved to Guatemala.

When the No-Knock law was in Congress, I told people to call their Senators
and demand it not be passed. No one did ....."

THAT SADDENED ME. But life balances out. I got a laff when another pal wrote:

"Knock and enter is gonna create a lotta dead cops. But don't worry for the police.
It'll be like an intersection with a crash coming daily, one which needs a stop light.
3 deaths and they put in a stop light."

PS. They threw my son into prison for 1 year for driving buzzed. And it was my fault. I mentioned SAN BERNADINO & When they realized he lived in another county they checked his driving record there. OUCH! but in PRISON he saw that DEPUTIES and JAILERS are heartless drug dealers, beat up and kill, threaten and deliver horrific beatings and terrorize the men. No wonder all that recidivism. He's now working on a novel.
