I just now googled Denny's name remembering this type of passionate, swirling, Hawaiian music from my childhood. Back in the late fifties, early sixties, this kind of FLORID post DEBUSSY electric guitar magic knocked me out. CRITICS SAW IT TOO: READ:

 "  Denny created a hypnotic international sound that blended exotic elements — bird calls, croaking frogs, jazz rhythms, chimes and gongs. He once described it as a fusion of Asian, South Pacific, American jazz, Latin American and classical styles." I don't get the American jazz or Latin American reference. It was HAWAIIAN with a few bird calls and the sound of rain!
