OLD TIRED ACTIVIST WANTS TO QUIT BEING A LOSER, I.E. A PROGRESSIVE ACTIVIST.
I've been thinking of quitting my hippie day job as an Hollywood Astrologer to become a Republican warmonger. I guess it's this AGE RELATED political headspace thing. Every commie socialist, anti-war college kid grows up to become a Democrat, then a demoralized Democrat, then they catch wind of where the money is........switch and vote Republican. It's always around the time the guy has an estate, gout and grandchildren.The left wing is young, rash and green. Let them eat tofu. But sooner or later, they grow up to have materialist sensibilities and to worry about the planet they're leaving to their kids and to discard their youthful rashness and move away from anti-war demonstrations, communism -- perhaps resting for a moment in socialism, but as forty yrs. hits, sliding into the Democratic straight ticket until pukey candidates seem too damn much like Republicans and this 'WHY VOTE AT ALL?' APATHY hits. But about the time grandkids hit, you're in love all over again and suddenly Democrats stand up out of their wheel chairs, take a deep breath and want less taxes, not more. They don't want their estates going to MEXICANS on welfare. They switch and vote the straight Republican right wing ticket. SEND THE MEX HOME says DONALD. YEAH, GIMME A BALLOT
I think GOP must stand for GRANDPA's OTHER PASSION it's so endemic. I mean with all the aging boomers, can you imagine REPUBS would NOT outnumber democrats?
This is an odd kind of calcification process but it's one seen throughout nature, except in leftist authors who make too much money with their posts on the far left and cannot abdicate hard core humanitarianism for fear of starving.
At Vassar, Hillary was a real commie, so far to the left, so ardent in her anti-war stance that no one could believe that when she and Bill got to the White House, she'd fail in giving us national health coverage. What they didn't know was she was already beginning to turn, to calcify, to become an agreeable, 'arms lobby', thoughtful REPUBLICAN. And now if you elect her, she'll be a REPUBLICRAT.
I know cuz I'm grandma age and while I thought calcification would never happen to me, it has. I have been a lifelong Marxist, thought KARL MARX the planet's reigning genius. I was an apologist for Mao, made excuses for Trotsky and Lenin saying they couldn't have known what a jerk Stalin was going to turn out to be. I picketed at war demonstrations in the sixties, worked for CISPES and NISGUA in support of CIA victims Guatemala, Nicaragua, Chile and El Salvador during the Liberation Theology 70's and 80's. For the entire span of BUSH PRESIDENCIES I dined out on Bushisms, ribbing, joking and jeering. I would have voted for Noam Chomsky, Mike Moore, Al Franken, Ralph Nader.
Naturally being a card carrying leftist, I was going to vote for KERRY if that's all the Left could come up with BUT.... but hey, here's what happened on my way to the polls. Last week, I read "FIST OF GOD" by Brit author, Frederic Forsyth, a riveting novel about three intelligence services, USA's CIA, the UK's MI6, and MOSSAD of Israel all doing their WMD-detecting a little TOO well just before the Gulf war in Iraq. And an unseen fist slammed down on me.
Forsyth states unequivocally that Saddam had nukes and just about everything else and planned to use it during the GULF WAR only Bush senior and his CIA and MOSSAD crew blew it and the lab it rode in on, to smithereens. When Forsyth says something, you listen. He is as convincing as he is connected. This is the ex Reuters reporter who wrote a string of hit novels that became fab flicks: Day of the Jackal, Odessa File, (Schell and Voight. Flick was changed; book is l00 x better.) The Fourth Protocol (Pierce Brosnan as atom bomb importing Brit,) Dogs of War, where Chris Walken is a mercenary in an African nation.
Forsyth makes a living off his ties to Mossad, CIA, M16 so he got "downloaded into" by them, huge files of more than just scuttlebutt from the best spies on the block. F. has a meticulous way of delivering it to his reader, payload at a time like a very experienced stripper so that the suspense drives you nuts. I HAD the phone off the hook for three, solid days.
When I set it down finally, I saw that BUSH SR, who is now in his second term, really believed there were serious weapons of mass destruction and wants his third term in office. Oh come on. Papa Bush is running the nation from behind a wooden dummy, running the second Gulf war and DC both. The kid's a chimpanzee, CURIOUS GEORGE fershure.
Bush pere has every right to be paranoid about nukes in Iraq. The novel makes clear that the brilliant Arabs, (architects, philosophers, surgeons a thousand years before we Cro Magnons in pelts left caves) could produce fissionable uranium from easily available 'yellowcake ore' and never be caught in the process...Iraq's labs are 80 feet under sand where no AWAC can see them and that's just the roof, then three floors of labs below. Read the book. It's draining, it's entertaining. It's RELEVANT.
NOW, what Bush/Rice Rummie and Cheney aren't saying is that THE REASON U.S. bothered to BUILD this massive Gulf War assault twice is that the BUSH GANG, ancestrally connected to the CIA, is assisting the UK /M15, BRITISH SHELL, in its oil hegemony over Arabia, which Brits traditionally have held in their first for more than a century. The Brits owned Arabia /Africa sharing the region with France, from the time Q.Victoria built the Suez Canal (oddly prophetic was that she used 2 Jews' help, Disraeli to raise the money from the Rothschild bank..) The Brits went in to the region with the help of these two Jews and colonized every nation around the Gulf -- Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Iran and most of Africa. The apex of this period was 1905, well after Victoria was gone. It continued through WWI, the Lawrence of Arabia period, the 20's they were still there.
THAT GRIP wasn't initially about OIL; there was minimal need for that weird grease. It was about battleships parking a ways off one's southern flank, one's need for a manageable colony with manageable rulers with friendly piers where you could tie up a troop ship in times of war or a trade ship in times of peace. They were big on Troops and Trade. The Brit Crown was a tight little island run by accountants and shippers who needed at all times to have colonies, a southern flank, an ample space in the Atlantic bathtub to set their butt down in. The French had the same kind of need. Growing peanut oil in the Sahara (until it dried up) was just an added bonus if you fry food a lot but land lotsa land....and allies. A perch in the bathtub.
The Brits also sent spies and agents and military men to run every sheik in the region from Victoria's time to the Lawrence of Arabia time. They got spoiled dealing with dumb camel herder Bedouins and misgauged Jews who were not camel herders. So with the birth of the nation of Israel, they got their royal butt kicked out of the Manger. That feisty colony got too big for the crib and broke away with a bang. The Stern gang threw the Brits out, BLEW 'em the #$(%& out, and turned Occupied Palestine into modern day Israel.
By that time, U.S.A had seen the need for a post-war plan requiring the Halls of Tripoli yield up some serious pier space for the US NAVY along with some sand for NATO bases. We told Brits and French, whose butts we'd just saved in WWII that we understood this 'share the Arab OIL equally thing and weren't we trusted allies? Thought we didn't (couldn't) enter the war for the first two yrs, didn't we rescue them from the Naziola situation? So we came out of WWII with NATO space, hegemony in Arabia along with France and UK. The USA was very polite about deferring to them in all other intelligence matters in the region. Our think tanks always depended on theirs for their info feed. All three first world nations used the en situ Mossad to tell the 'West' what's up. Reason: they have puhlenty of uncircumcised, Arabic-speaking spies in every country from Yemen to Libya sending 1 second bleeps from under a burnoose.
When it comes to spying, nobody does it better than the Mossad. One should read FLIGHT FROM ENTEBBE or rent the movie, and read a few books on a half century of phenomenal MOSSAD exploits. Google up words, ISRAELI SPIES, MOSSAD, find authors then go to abebooks.com and find dollar dime novels by the dozen. The exploits are legendary. CIA/ M15 and Le Bureau all defer to Jewish spypower. Now, DO YOU THINK JEWS trust USA/ UK/ French thinking? Not for a minute. So don't you think MOSSAD exaggerates danger at times to keep their big blustery first world buddies huffing and puffing? Making the info a little sexier -- as the reporters today like to say? Putting a spin on it?
Could be that they got a rep for that spin but then what glorious terrain of "I TOLD YOU SO.." came with WTC 911! You can probably deduce how the Mossad has created a very paranoid UK/USA. The Jumpy Jew is now jumpy Brits USA with the rich war toy manufacturer profiting from all the fear. That profit feature always drove me into the arms of the socialist left. I got my knickers in a twist when I thought the war was FOR PROFIT instead of being a natural byproduct of valor, soldiers who wanted to fight evil. Forsythe really captures the soldiers' minds in this book so last week, reading this novel, seeing what SADDAM was up to, who he really was, a peasant loonytunes torture-happy thug, -- it came down to - -- do I want a peacenik non-arsenal Kerry in the White House? There'd be no future for our grandkids. We stand a better chance of staying on top of WHO HAS THE BOMB with this paranoid Republican group of ex CIA spies being in the White House.
KERRY has this blind faith, bourgeouis humanism-spawned certainty that Iraqis, Syrians Libyans are not going to USE the nukes they very surely have. Not Israel. The Mossad quietly bombs every nuclear reactor they see. All we have is this academic group that monitors nuclear bills of lading in Lawrence Livermore labs in Northern Calif. What do they know about nukes under the sand. These Academic guys probably all eat tofu. Wonder if they have a website? Make a note to find it.
The installation of a paranoid group of politicos with ties to wartoy manufacturers at first glance probably looks like a bad idea, like they're all colluding to keep us in wars and keep earning money for wartoys but I am convinced KERRY is worthless as a Sentinel. He's voted against every military purchase since he got into the Senate, is a socialist, leftist commie just like I've been for last half century and he hates wartoy profit. I blindly hated wartoy profit myself. Hating profit gets one nowhere. LIFE is a form of profit, is it not? Spying on nuclear installations could be very profitable for the West. As in, we continue to LIVE to sell war toys another day. THE ARAB babies all get blown up but Surgical blowing up of the CAVE PEOPLE of the THIRD WORLD and the tyrannical Saddams of this world could be profitable. And forget that we earn a NAZI REP. That whole WMD misunderstanding was wrong airport but right airplane! We were right to down LIBYA, mob knock KHADAFI. Because of the big picture. You blow up a Despot's country the thing becomes a real mess, like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and now ASSAD AND SYRIA, there's a payoff. And don't think we're not going after ASSAD. We're now working on HIS COUNTRY with a PUTIN pact in our pocket to share Syrian wealth with RUSSIA That's good. RUSSIA and USA will take over the oil mucky sands of ARABY and share all that oil money.
So I'm quitting astrology to work for the next GOP OILMAN Elect ---don't care who. The biggest fascist in the G.O.P Presidential campaign works for me. The JEB-Elect committee offered me a small job so I won't be typing stars any more. I figure Papa Bush deserves a THIRD PRES in his family even though he wasn't right about Saddam and WMD. It was the wrong airplane but the right AIRPORT. He was right that killing Arabs is profitable. Taking their OIL IS MORE SO. Keeping dumb American boys employed killing little Arab children works in the long run. All those stupid rednecks get an army salary for life, old age VA pensions. Unemployable dummies mostly. And that WORKS for AMERICA!
I saw this cartoon today where an Arab father sits near his bombed to pieces childrens' graves and says "Now you can't go fight America."
