Is Current Politics The Eternal Battle Of Good And Evil?

An Argument for a multi-party political system

It currently feels like we are living in a fairy tale, with the political unfoldings in the USA and the UK, on one side we have politicians who want to create a reality that many believe to be quite idealistic and on the other politicians that are openly racist and set on making the rich/poor divide bigger than it ever has been. For a very long time and certainly in my life there has never been anything like this in politics.

To me it feels like the eternal battle of good and evil, in the USA we have Bernie Sanders who talks of a society that loves, accepts and embraces diversity, wants to create a greener planet and free education for all. Some of his other policies include legislation that will take away power from corporations, more transparency on which politicians are receiving donations from which corporations and support for countries which are being oppressed by US allies. In the other corner/s we have Donald Trump who is quite clearly racist, sexist, hell bent on dividing people into groups and it is not really clear what he wants to do as president apart from build a wall to keep Mexicans out, which he will make them pay for.

We also have Hillary Clinton (who was recently the obvious favorite to be next US president) but who was under criminal investigation for espionage by the FBI and if you take a look at this video you will see she is a pathological liar who changes her story state by state dependent on her audience. So the two spectrum ENDS are clearly sick yet BERNIE in the middle is clearly an angel.

In the UK it is a very similar situation with Jeremy Corbyn who has a similar stance to that of Bernie Sanders, he wants to cut military spending and invest in the future of the country. On the other side we have David Cameron who is trying to follow in the footsteps of America by trying to privatise everything, cut disability benefits and his party have just 'snuck' in a bill that allows for profit organizations to frack on public land without the authorization of councils.

The dynamics are interesting this time around and while many have lost all hope in the current, American political system, based as it is on just two parties. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. While the odds are currently slim for Sanders or Corbyn becoming the next leaders it will certainly tell us a lot about the impact a leader can have in the current corporate run world we live in.

If these guys cannot make a difference within the political system, to me it becomes very clear that the system needs to change. I shall be praying for the best, but preparing for the worse in the upcoming elections in the UK and The US.
