You may be a senior with a lifetime of hard earned. savings. You saw the Wall Street meltdown in 2008. Now the thought crosses your mind --- How to hold on to that l0k you saved and protect it from the inflation that's sure to come (THE FED just printed up a trillion so that will cause inflation.) If you just keep holding on to THAT TEN GRAND, instead of ten thousand dollars that would buy a used car, it is ten thousand which will buy dinner out for two.And a babysitter as your grandkids will be in your care, your sons and daughters working 2 jobs a day. So you probably will not GET to dine out!

So you need to make that money work for you. PRODUCE a valuable object selling it for big money. INVEST it in a business concept that is sure thing, a service or type of merchandise which clients or CUSTOMERS REALLY NEED. And price that object or service very competitively.  You don't pay rent on a shop so undercut the big guys. A good investment will pay you l0% per annum on your money. Make it a type of merchandise or a service that people really need! But here's the spin. Don't go with a stranger. KEEP IT IN THE FAMILY. Let the NEPHEW be your worker, his old TOYOTA suits him for DRIP IRRIGATION LINES that he fits into GARDENS in the DROUGHT PLAGUED SUBURBAN NABES. PAYS A HEAP! The worker, the new CEO will be much more agreeable, more motivated to pay you back for your faith in him and years later that kid cannot come looking for loans as a.) you set him up and he's rich, or B.) you set him up and HE bungled it.

Try to picture your daughter/ grandchild or NIECE as an investment.
as a tycoon of tomorrow as "MY KID INCORPORATED." Let's say the girl has
high style fashion talent. She starts dress trends. Even while she studies
in college, she can wholesale her line of  canvas school bags, printed with Basquiat
graffiti, (I've been saying for years ! This would be hot in EUROPE as they don't have
graffiti in Europe. It's typically American, exotic, modern. And sure enough a news show
on GRAFFITI artists selling canvases for 15k each in PARIS. SEE "HOT MERCHANDISE"

While young mothers swear they will make time for the business, their heart
is not in it. They are always going to spend four hours a day with their
baby and the rest of the hours off somewhere, not concentrating and worried
about the baby. So don't put your money in the hands of anyone likely to be
a mother soon.

Try to envisualize your young relatives, in a biz, hopefully 18-40 yrs old  as they have the pep.
Maybe your NEPHEW (seen above!) or a young cousin. Imagine them handling
a business as auntie's investment, with them being the tycoon of tomorrow.

That Nephew might not know ladies' sportswear but maybe he is mechanical
and could do AIR REPAIR. 

Ask your young  relative to brainstorm along these lines, to dream up something he adores, that he's good at, that
he could do five days a week, 9 to 5, and go over his ideas carefully, crunching the numbers on potential earnings.
And where and how would he advertise himself. Craigs list? Pamphlets? Door to door? WEBSITES? NEXT DOOR WEB or ETSY?

Then INVEST in that business that you've researched ...that is a sure thing, --which will pay you l0% per annum on your money. End of year, profits are divvied you now have 11,000$a year later more than 12 thousand. Then when it rolls it starts growing exponentially and it's BIG MONEY so you need a clear contract/ deal on paper, notarized, on SPLIT OF PROFITS done before the FIRST DAY OF BUSINESS!

Make it a service that people need. Your boy may love Harleys but would he be able to fix them 40 hrs a week? Are there enuf owners out there? Would the tool cost dwarf profits? (They'd be amortagized over first year.) PUT that in the contract.

SELL HOME MADE STUFF: Surf to ETSY and CRAIGS LIST and start selling USEFUL OBJECTS, not the usual, useless dustcatcher chatzes. We need inventive objects, a lamp with bulletin board cork on four sides, revolving, to pin MEMOS to, a SOAP DISH with enough holes that soap won't dissolve into slime. Most of us need three soap dishes. Kitchen window and two baths,maybe FOUR, as  we need one near the tub.Get a website to show your goods, merchant, show them to atelier funders, or retail buyers. I know a gal, goes to garage sales thrifts and sells her vintage textile finds on EBAY --- makes 1k a month. She also cooked for OUTDOOR MARKETPLACE for years, where   PIES are 45$. Made connections with clients now NO  MARKET, NO SETTING UP HER TABLES, she Cooks for rich people, another 1k a month. Thurs Fri she cooks, WEEKEND delivers in plastic containers. And she writes internat'l food history and cooking articles and sells them to magazines. She's 70 and does all that. What could YOU DO to bring in 2500$ a month staying home and banking under the mattress. ONE YEAR of that, 25k is a decent DOWN PAYMENT. You tell BANKER it's MATTRESS money. Nobody questions it? IT IS LEGAL TO HAVE IT and USE it to buy a house.

Another great biz for strong people PIRATE BOOTY FROM ATTIC CLEANING FOR SENIORS. OR HOUSE PAINTING. Doing the makeover of a room and the paint and SALVAGED LIGHT FIXTURES undercutting decorators, painters and doing a roundabout complete job.  If you're AVID TO clean out the room before you paint  & GET CASH FOR JUNK,Seniors don't do DIGITAL CAMERAS, so for an hour and 50$, Do a photo shoot.  Pick up clients with free ads on Craigs list. Cmon, one in about ten thousand buyers who show up is a mass murderer. The other 9,999 have money to give you to clean your house out.

All he needs is a 6 cylinder antique Toyota truck, some common garden tools and he's making a living. NEXT stone setting, wall making, fountain making. COMPOST pile starting, Home owner does the rest over the years, you teach him how. Then there's the water set up what with drought across the planet.
