HOW TO FIX THE AMERICAN BANKING SYSTEM's PROBLEMS --CHAUNCEY GARDINER's SUGGESTION FOR THE FIX:
 

CHAUNCEY  GARDENER, as written by Jerzy Kozinsky, was an idiot,  (doubly so as played by Peter Sellers in "BEING THERE" yet Old Chauncey could solve any problem. Even Presidents and Senators consulted him. Now, his employer knew he was 'slow,' but the Washington boys never figured it out! They thought that he was Kissinger with Walt Whitman Whimsy, Emersonian Oriental metaphors.  If they had consulted him about the TARP BAILOUT he'd have said: "Throw fertilizer on a dying tree? That doesn't make sense. When a big tree gets too old, its roots will sour, they can't handle the leafy green payout at the ends of the branches so the top starts dying. Little crooked branches out at the end are starved for juice and begin to steal nutrients from the air but they're not built for that so they wither. Then the branches dry up, like bank branches. Then, the whole thing starts rotting back to the trunk. Trees aren't meant to just be trunks. They're meant to have branches and twigs and flowers and fruits. At that point, the whole life process stops dead. The sap sours and you see criminal efforts to steal from the customers, like BOA and ChASE and WELLS FARGO all did. Toxic sap and first wind, the tree will fall over, taking other living, vital trees with it. You have to cut that tree down fast, get it out of there.

I know it's hard to put a saw to a big tree, even a dying tree but God no longer means for that tree to be there. If you pour fertilizer on a tree that's grown old that way, branches dead, twigs all crooked and dried up, sour sap --you really ROT the bottom even faster, ensuring this massive structure will fall across half the forest, killing all the precious young overgrowth. The thing you gotta do is cut the tree down, take the roots out of the ground, evacuate the hole and pour some cleanser in there like lime or potash and if you don't purify the area, you can never grow anything in that spot ever again.

Only when it's gone can you fill up the hole, well like the cavity in a tooth, with fresh, new soil. THEN  you can plant a fresh sapling there in the empty spot. If you got all the rot out of the GROUND, You will have vigorous growth, branches, fruits and flowers soon enough. But you definitely want to avoid getting one smidge of the old rotten bank, errrr tree... not one SPORE of that rot near the new sapling. Or the same thing will happen all over again. NOTE: CHAUNCEY GARDINER was the simpleton gardener on the estate of a dying Senator who listened to his servant, and quoted him giving attribution so that when the Senator  died, the leaders in Washington came looking for this eminent, Chauncey Gardiner and the idiot began to change history, became the veritable KISSINGER to the American  government with his folksy quixotic parables and homey advice. Or a BOOK YOU CAN CHECK OUT of most libraries, or they'll find it for you, for a quarter.

"Being There" its name,  a 1979 film directed by Hal Ashby, adapted from the 1971 novel written by Jerzy Kosinski. His best after the PAINTED BIRD...which was numero uno. If you have a strong stomach. Then coke and NYC disco living got to him and he was in full decline thereafter. Read  nothing after those two.

The film stars Peter Sellers, Shirley MacLaine, Melvyn Douglas, Jack Warden, Richard A. Dysart and Richard Basehart. Douglas won the Academy
Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and Sellers was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role. This was the last Peter Sellers film to be
released while he was alive.The screenplay was coauthored by Kosinski and the award winning screenwriter Robert C. Jones, winning the 1981 British Academy of Film and
Television Arts (Film) Best Screenplay Award and the 1980 Writers Guild of America Award (Screen) for Best Comedy Adapted from Another Medium. It was
