A Yoga teacher in my town, (voted TOP GURU by L.A. Magazine) told his students "NEVER FORGET that 85% of HUMANITY is unable to EVOLVE, doesn't want to... they cling to death wish, chronic hating and berating,violence and crime ranging from puckish pranks to outright murder. The are cold to their offspring, aberrant in romance where they make down-graded choices, and in eating habits choosing pizza instead of salad --(that's where the death wish comes in,) The 85ers beat their women, the women cheat on their men and their entire clan down through history will have unhappy lives."

 THEY ARE the JUKES AND THE  KALLIKAKS of humanity and they have that breed even in CHINA. It's not a Bumfuck, Tennessee phenomena.

This is not a depressing stat as it implies that on the other hand, roughly 15% of us do want to forgive others, quit our own bad habits,  be polite, clean up our acts, overcome reactive anger, get control over the rude self and be angelic and then help others up the ladder of life by sacrificing time and taxes to HELP them do it.

We 'LIGHT SEEKERS' hear about healthfood, yoga, meditation and psychological counseling when we need help and we go for it. Yet we are scornfully called Lilly livered LIBERALS by the dark 85.  We, the LIGHT SEEKING 15, are ridiculed, accused of promoting miscreants by wanting taxes on the rich to fund barrio never-haves with MEDICARE, FOODSTAMPS, RENT HELP, EDUCATIONAL LOANS. They deride us as being fooled by pathetic deplorables seeking handouts so they can dope up and lie around all day.

Jealously, they decry our dogooder natures as foolish and insist we are FEEDING A GENERATION OF VIPERS. If we let refugees in, we are told by the LIBERTERIAN and GOP and TEABAGGER TYPES -- "they are the enemy and they will end up bombing you in the streets. No gratitude. So, here's the POINT. There are actually two parties wrestling with legislation and other political realities. Which of us two segments of the human race will do more to actually HELP THE PLANET SURVIVE?
